The scenery was beautiful and well taken care of. Everything was designed for a family friendly visit or stay. I didn't camp on this visit, but look forward to doing so in the future.
The view was nice, many picnic locations (some equipped w charcoal grills) in the area. Fish weren't really biting the day we went but we did catch a baby blue gill with a stinker (stink bait n sinker), we did have a nice time and we went on a Tuesday afternoon so we were literally the only ones there which led us to have the the place to ourselves. You have a bit of a walk to a picnic area if you are wanting to fish, also, there are a good amount of trees to hang ur bobber in if you're not careful. They do have fairly clean restrooms that are open. But be advised there are tick advisories posted so bring proper repellents.
very nice state park. Very well maintained. It gets hot here in the summer time. You can rent small john boats.
A simple park with adequate facilities. Park is best in off season, you can call ahead and they will turn heat on in showers even in winter. Nice hiking trails, no swimming in lake but good bass and bluegill fishing. Stocked with trout in fall. Can be crowded in spring an d summer. Sites are on the small size and pretty close.
Pet friendly. Nice sites. Nice area for short or long walks.
